Dual Disorder Residential Treatment
The Dual Disorder Program is a residential program providing highly structured, primary, and comprehensive substance abuse and mental health treatment services for women with co-occurring serious mental illness and substance dependence. This program provides simultaneous and integrated treatment. The DDP is generally longer term and designed to further stabilize acute symptoms and engage the individual in a program of maintenance, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.
Services
- Therapies include: Individual and group counseling, educational groups, motivational enhancement and engagement strategies, counseling and monitoring to promote successful reintegration . Also, daily clinical services to improve ability to organize tasks of daily living.
- 42 hours per week of structured treatment and recovery focused services.
- Individualized treatment plan within 14 days and reviewed monthly thereafter.
- Medication/Education management.
- Crisis/Relapse prevention plan.
- Random drug/alcohol screening.
- Length of Stay: 6 to 12 months.
Admission Criteria
- Adult female 19 years of age or older
- Must have at least two diagnoses on Axis I, to include one that is a major mental illness diagnosis and one that is a chemical dependence diagnosis.
- Willing to participate in Dual Diagnosis programming and expressed desire to make life style change.
Intermediate Residential
The Intermediate Residential Program provides supportive, long term adult substance abuse treatment to consumers with Axis I disorders of substance dependence. Intermediate Residential Treatment is intended for those individuals who have not responded well to shorter term services. The repetitive, slower-paced environment of Intermediate Residential Treatment more effectively meets the consumers needs.
Services
- Therapies include: Individual and group counseling, educational groups, motivational enhancement and engagement strategies, counseling and monitoring to promote successful reintegration in regular, productive daily activity such as work, school or family living. Also, daily clinical services to improve ability to organize tasks of daily living.
- Minimum of 30 hours per week of treatment and recovery focused services.
- Individualized treatment plan within 7 days and reviewed monthly thereafter.
- Medication/Education management.
- Crisis/Relapse prevention plan.
- Random drug/alcohol screening.
- Length of Stay: 6 to 12 months.
Admission Criteria
- Adult female 19 years of age or older
- Must have a diagnosis of chemical dependency.
- May have other Axis I diagnosis of mental disorder, but stable symptoms and/or managed with medication.
Mental Health Respite
The Mental Health Respite Program provides shelter and case management on a 24/7 basis to consumers experiencing a need for transition to another residential setting or a break from a current residential setting. The intent of the service is to support consumers throughout the transition or break, provide linkages to needed behavioral health and assist in transition back into the community.
Services
- Provide referrals to needed community services
- Provides on-site access to periodic safety checks and monitoring, personal support services, medication monitoring, assistance of activities with daily living and limited transportation.
- Length of Stay: Typically no more than seven days

- Adult female 19 years of age or older.
- Services not intended for detox from alcohol or other drugs.
